ASRIE decided to become a partner of the European Russian Communication Management Network (EU-RU-CM Network) and the Russian – Latin American Strategic Studies Association (RLASSA) with the aim at improving its knowledge, activities and projects in the field of international relations, geopolitics and strategic communication.
EU-RU-CM Network was created thanks to the joint initiative of Communication Management Section of the Central and East European Studies Association and the European Institute of Political, Economic, and Social Studies (Rome) with the purpose to create an expert community in the form of a permanent European network, specialized in studies of ways and methods of Media and Communication Management, as a support to the relations between Europe and Russia, to promote the exchange of information and documents, to eventually conduct research in common.
Our organisation considers essential its partnership with EU-RU-CM Network because we live in a world where the communication and media aspect of future international development will be more and more topical, different kind media manipulations could do a lot of harm, and accurate and responsible communication management will work for a democratic, civil society-oriented and progressive alternative.
EU-RU-CM Network believes that is very important not to polish the reality but to avoid the situation between Russia and EU when the media coverage and the public perception of the EU-Russia relations are worse than the real situation. The academic research, the correct estimation of communication risks, educational media literacy and communication management programmes and the correspondent practical consultancy done on the international basis, by the international teams of experts could supply a decisive impulse for the further development of the mutually beneficial relations between EU and Russia which are so crucial for the global stability, peace and prosperity.
The coordinators of EU-RU-CM Network are Evgeny N. Pashentsev (Russia), DSc., professor, a leading researcher at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, Director of the International Centre for Social and Political Studies and Consulting, a coordinator of the section “Communication Management in Politics and Business” at the Central and East European International Studies Association, and Marco Ricceri (Italy), General Director of the Institute for Political, Economic and Social Studies (EURISPES), the Honorary Doctor of Science of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
RLASSA was established at the beginning of September 2017 by the initiative of the International Centre for Social and Political Studies and Consulting (ICSPSC) and the Group on Defense and International Security Studies (GDISS) at the State University of São Paulo. Currently, RLASSA includes more than 50 researchers from Russia and seven countries of Latin America, and its ranks are overgrowing. The central area of joint work of RLASSA members: strategic studies and their application to the practice of relations between Russia and Latin America, including an assessment of threats, risks and prospects for national defence and international security in the context of shared interests and possible areas of cooperation.
Our organisation chose RLASSA as a strategic partner with the aim of improving its field of expertise and geopolitical analysis not only on the Russian Federation but even on Latin America. In a cosmopolitan world increasingly interconnected, it is fundamental to analyse the relations among European, Asian and African countries with South America in order to understand future developments and regional dynamics.
The coordinators of RLASSA are Evgeny N. Pashentsev (Russia), DSc., professor, a leading researcher at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, Director of the International Centre for Social and Political Studies and Consulting, and Héctor Luis Saint-Pierre (Brazil), professor, Director of the Institute for Public Policy and International Relations at the State University of Sao Paulo “Julio Meshkita Filho”, Head of the Group on Defense and International Security Studies.

Also, Sapmar together with ICSPSC established GlobalStratCom – Strategic Studies Association, a network formed by five associations that work in various fields of strategic studies and strategic communication.
